Laboratories

The Chemistry Laboratory has been active since its establishment, serving the main educational and research needs of the Chemistry department.

The actions of the laboratory focus on three strategic axes:

  1. The development of educational material and research infrastructure
  2. Supporting undergraduate and graduate students, as well as doctoral candidates, regarding advances in the field of environmental management and protection technologies
  3. Promoting collaboration networks with other research institutions and organizations abroad and domestically, with the main goal of exchanging scientific knowledge, strengthening research collaborations, attracting foreign students, supporting innovative ideas, and organizing international conferences and lectures.

Within this framework, international conferences, symposia, and seminars have been successfully organized, with the participation of distinguished scientists in the field, both from Greece and abroad.

The presence of the Laboratory is important both locally and internationally, strengthening the connection between the University and society through innovative research programs funded by the European Union, the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the Region of Epirus, as well as productive bodies and private entities. Annex B provides indicative research projects carried out by the members of the Industrial Chemistry Laboratory.

PhD students will also have free access to all spaces of the Department of Chemistry, especially the research support units.
