Call for Applicants

Call for Applicants For the admission of 5 PhD candidates to the Doctoral Studies Program of the  Department of Chemistry in the context of the International PhD program, entitled  “Chemistry and Technologies for Pollution Control and Environmental Protection  (CTePCEP)”, during the academic year 2024-2025. This program is co-financed by  Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund- ESF) through the  Operational Program «Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong  Learning 2014-2020» in the context of the project “Chemistry and Technologies for  Pollution Control and Environmental Protection (CTePCEP)” (MIS 6004807). The Program “Chemistry and Technologies for Pollution Control and Environmental  Protection (CTePCEP)” announces 5 positions for PhD candidates for the academic  year 2024-2025, according to the provisions of Law 4957/2022-Government Gazette  141/A/21-7-2022 and the general institutional framework as in force, articles 90-97  of the relevant regulations for doctoral studies, and the Decision 1168/2024- Government Gazette 5622/Β/9-10-2024), as follows: The doctoral dissertation is open to holders of a MSc in Chemistry or in a Chemistry  related field (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering,  etc.) from domestic or foreign recognized institutions (D.O.A.T.A.P., according to Law  3328/A80/2005). Candidates are invited to submit their application to the Secretariat of the  Department of Chemistry at e-mail: gramchem@uoi.gr, and iokonst@uoi.gr (e-mail  should have the subject: “Candidacy for IntPhD CTePCEP – CANDIDATE NAME) from  10-02-2025 until 10-03-2025, together the following supporting documents: 1. Application form 2. Proposal for doctoral thesis (maximum 2.500 – 3.000 words) in English language 3. Statement of the candidate for the proposed Supervisor of the doctoral thesis,  signed by the Supervisor for acceptance. 4. Detailed Curriculum Vitae 5. Copy of undergraduate degree/s –( BSc and MSc) with Diploma supplement or  equivalent 6. Scientific publications in journals and/or conferences, thesis in digital form-with an  extended English summary 7. Certificate of adequate knowledge of English or certificate of studies in English  Language. 8. Certificate of adequate knowledge/studies of other foreign language 9. Certificate of complimentary education studies in relative subjects (e.g. computer  applications, etc.) 10. Two Recommendation Letters The selection process will include also an interview which will be done with  teleconference. Afterwards the selected candidates will be informed. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the criteria written in doctoral studies  regulation of the Department of Chemistry of the University of Ioannina  (B ́5622/2024).
