The establishment of the International Doctoral Program aims at the education, analysis, creation, and promotion of new knowledge as well as the advancement of research in the cognitive subject matter of Environmental Chemistry and Pollution Control and Environmental Protection Technologies, considering the current developments in science and the research needs at an international level.

Doctoral Program will provide high-quality education and is intended for students who hold a postgraduate degree or an equivalent degree, or graduates of postgraduate studies who wish to continue their studies in the Department of Chemistry. Additionally, it aims to promote scientific knowledge and the training of research scientists in the interdisciplinary fields of chemistry and environmental technologies. PhD graduates will have gained the theoretical and empirical scientific background, will have internalized research thinking and technical skills that will enable them to work in various professional and research fields that are generally related to pollution control in the natural and urban environment, the study and integrated management of environmental problems, the research and promotion of innovative policies and technologies for environmental protection, as well as the development and application of new technologies in the control of environmental and product quality and safety (food).

Doctoral program leads to the acquisition of a Doctoral Degree in at least 3 years, which certifies the development of original scientific research and the significant contribution of the holder to the advancement of knowledge in the field of environmental sciences.
